Pervatech, a producer of cutting-edge membranes, membrane modules and separation systems for pervaporation and vapour permeation applications, has secured the necessary financial support required for the company’s expansion. An investment plan was established as part of the growth strategy, comprising a redesign of the present product portfolio, a scale-up of production capacity and relocation to a new facility.
The company’s core activities are the development, production and marketing and sale of ceramic membranes for both hydrophilic and organophilic separation processes. Work on the new building (see picture) has begun and relocation of activities is scheduled for the end of the year.
The new facility gives Pervatech much-needed room for a new membrane design based on a four-hole 120cm-long ceramic element which will provide extra production capability.
Pervatech products are increasingly used in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food industry. Typical applications include:
- Dehydration of solvents
- Azeotrope separation and
- The enhancement of chemical condensation reactions in aggressive environments
Scientific cooperation with leading universities and institutions both nationally and abroad secures today’s and tomorrow’s ceramic membranes with superior characteristics. Pervatech membranes are stable in water at high temperatures, in (a)protic solvents and in the presence of acids, and can be used both in standalone solutions and add-on hybrid systems.
