Industry-specific acoustic enclosures
Wakefield Acoustics provides a series of acoustic enclosures, ranging from drop-over canopies to site-assembled modular units.
Designed according to the project requirements, enclosures are manufactured with a range of access options such as hinged / removable panels, personnel access or sliding doors, and framed lift-off roof sections.
The company’s acoustic enclosures can be painted with a variety of high-specification finishes for adverse environments.
Electrical installations and ventilation systems are normally integrated into the enclosure design, and the latter can include run and standby axial / centrifugal fan arrangements with hazardous area certification where required.
Silencers for noise reduction
Silencers are designed to suit a variety of applications, including open-inlet units, complete with air filtration, and for reducing breakout noise from process pipework.
Wakefield Acoustics designs and manufactures a range of rectangular and circular silencers. These mild or stainless-steel units can be manufactured according to the specifications of the client and to API specifications where required. Silencers can be treated with high-specification paint finishes where required.
Process silencers are usually treated with a high-temperature paint finish, and can be made with flat or raised-face flanges as required. Silencer units can be supplied with integrated support feet or brackets.
Wakefield Acoustics also offers full inspection services for the silencers, including weld inspections and pressure testing where this is a project requirement.
Welded silencers and acoustic control solutions
In addition to its enclosure and silencer range, Wakefield Acoustics manufactures and installs a wide range of fully welded noise control products, such as:
- Inlet silencers
- Combined inlet filter silencers for aeration blowers
- Discharge silencers for reduced pipe breakout noise
- Welded blow-off silencers for natural or forced ventilation systems
The company also supplies acoustic blankets and screens, as well as rectangular and circular attenuators, available in a range of materials, including pre-galvanised sheet steel, stainless steel and PVC.
Compliance to industry-safety standards
Wakefield Acoustics is experienced in operating to stringent specifications on intricate contracts. The company’s skilled team of experienced project managers is familiar with documentation and certification requirements.
Acoustic enclosures are tested according to BS EN ISO 11546-1: 2009, as required by BS EN ISO15667 – Acoustics – Guidelines for noise control structures.
Wakefield Acoustics is accredited to various standards, including:
