Liquid sealing solutions for barrier glands

CMP Products’ RapidEx sealing solution for barrier glands delivers increased reliability and safety, while cutting time and costs. The liquid-pour, fast-curing liquid resin seal can be installed in seconds and only takes a few minutes to cure. RapidEx’s formula is based on a low-viscosity liquid that enables it to penetrate cable interstices, completely surrounding and encasing the cable conductors, displacing the air from the gland’s sealing chamber.

Compared with clay compounds, which require the seal to be manually compressed into the barrier, RapidEx can naturally enclose itself around all of the cable conductors to form a perfect seal, eliminating any risk of human error or air bubbles.

Robust cable cleats for hazardous environments

CMP’s range of cable cleats have been specially designed and manufactured to withstand the rugged industrial and hazardous environments of the hydrocarbons industry.

The ‘one size fits all’ mantra cannot be applied to cable cleats, which is why CMP Products has designed a range of cable cleats to suit all applications, including single, trefoil, quad and matrix applications. The range is both comprehensive and diverse, including specialist applications such as railway and underground, oil and gas, and petrochemical.

Our cable cleats are designed and manufactured according to IEC 61914:2009 accreditation, and certified by a third party.

As well as our set product range, CMP Products technicians can also provide a customised cable cleat service in addition to assisting with technical queries to our clients’ needs.

Terminating cables for explosive atmosphere working conditions

With our national and international approved standards, CMP Products ensures it stays well-informed of any changes or developments for products to be safely used in explosive atmospheres.

CMP designs and produces cable glands with Ex d/Ex e Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 approvals for use in Gas Group IIC environments under CENELEC & IEC area classification rules. In addition, we supply cable connectors for NEC and CEC classified explosive atmosphere locations, available for Class I, II and III, Divisions 1 and 2, and where gas groups A, B, C, D and dust groups E, F and G are present.

Our international explosive atmospheres approvals include ATEX, IECEx and INMETRO, CSA, UL, NEPSI, CIDET, CCOE/PESO as well as Russian Trade Union certificates. We also hold Marine Classification Society Approvals from Lloyds, DNV and ABS.
